Hello and thank you for visiting this site and looking to know more about me.
Wired For Faith is dedicated to three principles:
1) The belief that all human beings are created in the image of God, and hardwired to be “free to make choices: to love, to create, to reason, and to live in harmony with creation and with God” (BCP, p. 845);
2) To show the connecting wires that “restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ” (BCP, p. 855); and
3) To affix with wires of faith _ the peace and love of God, which passes all understanding.
My journey toward creating this site has been a long and unplanned one.
I was born into an undevout family in 1965. For the next several decades, I would say I lived on the fringe of my faith. Sometimes I chose to believe in God. Sometimes I chose not to. For some periods of time, I would explore religions and their rituals. During other times, I didn’t give it much thought. In 1988 I was baptized but still would only show up in church on occasions such as Christmas Eve. Most of the time I was angry and confused as to how much cruelty was conducted in God’s name over the centuries.
But despite the noise of the “Moral Majority” and their ilk in this country, the religious wars waged around the world, and the missteps taken by religious sects and organizations, I still felt a religious gravitational pull. Looking back, I saw and heard it everywhere _ in music, in nature, and in the times that I felt lucky and grateful. And when I married my male partner in 2013 in a little chapel at the National City Christian Church in Washington D.C.
Soon after moving to Bordentown, NJ in 2019, we began attending Christ Episcopal Church that is presided over by The Very Rev. J. Matthew Tucker. In 2022, I heard my calling, and I became a Lector, Chalice Bearer, and a Lay Preacher and assisted with our Adult Classes. And _ I created this website as a creative outlet, and to reach and help others understand how we are all connected by faith.
Thirty years ago, I devoted my career to the field of Human Resources because I felt it was where I could make a positive impact on people’s lives. I wrote a nationally recognized blog from 2009 to 2014 on HR and workplace issues.
In June 2025, I retired from the Human Resources field, and in September 2025, am beginning a MDiv program at Princeton Theological Seminary, with a focus on Practical Theology.
So aside from administrating and writing for this website and being a former Human Resources professional, I enjoy reading, discussing, and reading about scripture and faith, our home and town, dining out, music, traveling, and working for my local parish.
Hopefully you find something of worth on this site, and it enhances your life in some way. If you want to strike up a conversation, have a suggestion for this site, interested in learning more, email me at WeAreWiredForFaith@gmail.com.
